Quinn of late

Our high energy, sassy girl is thriving in the "Honey Bears" classroom.
Every Friday is Show & Tell.  Jake offers her guidance to think outside the normal box.
(For example, for "H" she brought in a hammerhead shark and for W a Walrus.)

She loves dressing up as a princess and thanks to Grandma's Christmas presents she has plenty of dresses to choose from.  She enjoys mixing and matching dresses, tiaras and shoes.

She insisted on dressing up as Snow White for the annual Chick-fil-a Daddy daughter date night.
We love our headstrong Elizabeth Quinn.

Jake of late

It's amazing how much growth we've seen since the start of kindergarten.  At the beginning of the year, Jake could write his name (albeit two letters backwards) and a handful of other words.  He could do basic addition and subtraction, recognize a handful of words in print.  Now he pens his name perfectly, reads over a 100 words, demonstrates addition and subtraction with numbers 20 and lower, writes whole sentences and journals three or more sentences on the same topic.  I'm impressed!  We've started memorizing Bible verses.  We don't do allowance for chores since that's a family expectation; however, he can earn money doing math flashcards and reading books aloud.
For their 100th day of school kindergartners are encouraged to dress up like 100 year old men and women.

Posing with KJ's cane.

Two pages of a book "dedicated to Mommy" about our date.

LOVING Lego kits.

Ready for a movie and dinner date with Mommy!
