Stone Mountain

Jess planned our family adventure this weekend. I really enjoyed being a participant rather than an initiator, planner, organizer.   He packed the picnic, loaded the truck and drove both ways.  We grooved to some Soul Music prior to the laser show.  A good time was had by all.  Well, okay...Quinn was fairly miserable during the fireworks components of the show.  Guess it will be another year of television fireworks for 4th of July!

Bi-annual lunch date

It was great fun to catch up with dear friend on their annual trek through town.

Quinn's dance recital

Anticipating the recital.
Expressions capture multiple feelings!

Ms. Donna, queen of the Honey Bears, supported her class and alumni.

It was fun to watch Jake's pre-K friends dance, too.

Precious Dancer!

Two bouquets AND a trophy. Wow!

Memorial Day outing

Ready for anything!

Hiking across a log...short cut!

Cheese!

Tree sprites?

Chilling out on an old rock wall.
Always wonder about its story!

For two years, ever since Quinn started walking this trail with us, she's been longing for some adventure boots like her mommy and brother.  Made good on a promise and ventured to REI last weekend.
Happy, Quinn is finally initiating her new hiking boots with a much anticipated walk through a stream.

Can you see how proud she is!

We also paused so I could make a flower chain for each child.

Our sweet boy loves giving things away, even to a boy unable to say thank you!

Happy Birthday, Great Grandmother Marie!

Ready for a date with Daddy!

It's always interesting to see how Quinn chooses to garb herself for a big adventure.

Renaissance Festival

I won tickets during Teacher Appreciate week at school.  (Thanks, East Cobber!)  It was a beautiful day!
