Independence Day

All dressed up and no where to go!  Most activities around Atlanta were canceled due to the rain. But we ate a yummy breakfast, grabbed some burgers at Five Guys and then went puddle jumping in the neighborhood.
Patriotic pancakes.  Yum!

Totally cute and ready to celebrate America's birthday.

July

Sweet girl, you make me laugh.  Sometimes you make me want to pull my hair out, but mostly you make me laugh.  I love how creative you are when you play dress up.  You have a gift for mixing and matching apparel, your favorite quiet time activity.  Thanks for popping out and showing me this combo.

Jake, you've really enjoyed your experience with Karate.
I'm not sure if we'll continue during the school year, but you've taken to it this summer!

Nature Box

My dad made this small curio box.  For many years (and houses) it held small tokens from the pharmaceutical world, a tribute to his profession.  Mom gave this to us during our trip to help her downsize and we converted it into a showcase of small relics from Mother Earth.  Currently it houses two beetles, an arrow head, two shark teeth, two magnolia leaves and buds, a sea shell, quartz, a souvenir bear carving from Alaska and various rocks from short excursions.  We'll keep adding to it over time.

Festivus-light!

Our annual Festivus celebration is changing to a bi-annual event so it was a nice bonus to see the Mullings family and the Rowden family on Quinn's actual birthday.  Here are some happy shots!

Thank you hugs to Uncle Michael (and Christina!)

Thanks for the Rapunzel wig, Grandma!

Aunty gave Quinn her first fishing pole and tackle kit PLUS a trip to use gifted items the next day.
I didn't get any good pictures of this happiness so I'll have to take her out myself for a fishing expedition.
