Happy Halloween 2013

We had a great night tonight!  It was fun to march around the neighborhood in mass.  Most of us were part of the parade and so bowls of candy greeted us at the doors.  It's an amazing thing to see the growth, both in size and numbers, of children in our 'hood.  We trekked down to Westridge where Quinn was delighted to run into several of her classmates!  Who knew we lived so close!  Playdates will be all the easier!

Darth Vader and Cinderella.
(Thanks, Grandma!)

Love the orange toes peeking out of "glass" slippers.

Trick or treat!

And, oh!  the bounty!

Flag Football

We've ventured into new territory...team sports!  Eight weeks of flag football with good friends and a beautiful fall was a GREAT induction!  We hope to see Quinn chasing a soccer ball at this time next year! Here's a couple of glimpses into our Saturday mornings of late! Grandma got to cheer on his first game.  It's amazing how much his team has improved.  Jess is assistant captain to Jake's friend's dad, Mike.  We've enjoyed it so much that we've committed to basketball in November!
I think she's rooting for the other team here.
The Wild Cats has some sort of allure.

Post game cheese!

Loving the eye black.

Hey, blue eyes!

I think Jake is more interested in watching his shadow run than who has the ball.

Love her!

Sometimes Quinn and Jake choose to have quiet time together.
Though it was officially at its end here, they chose to snuggle together.
Jake read Quinn a book on the iPad.
Sweet.  I love catching them in the act of loving each other.

I love this girl's laugh!

500 years later remnants of a Native American fish trap still noticeable!

Fairly symbolic!

Ten years...planes (dinner at a chop house runway), trains and automobiles!
We've enjoyed our journey.

Fall

Jake and Quinn helped me pick out and plant mums for the back yard.
Aren't they pretty?! Loving this hand me down dress from Ginny.

scenes from October

Jess, Jake and Quinn ventured to a local trunk-or-treat while I caught up with a dear college friend.
Thanks for the Annakin costume, Grandma!  Q poses as Mulan.

Decided to skip the carving this year and enhance our pumpkins with some "stick ins."
